RAMP reflects the last names of our 4 founders, Ruby, Ayre, McMorran and Proceviat. We are a group of CPAs with "Big 4" accounting firm roots who have joined forces to provide contemporary business solutions and executive management resources and expertise to our clients. Collectively, we bring 100+ years of business and executive experience with private and publicly traded companies and have access to an extensive network of resources in the venture capital, banking, human resources and legal world that can be tapped into to meet the needs of our clients.

Ralph's passion for helping business owners, entrepreneurs, boards of directors, and management teams drive profitable growth in a way that benefits all stakeholders has been a distinguishing characteristic admired by all those who have worked with him throughout his executive, business and professional career. Ralph is also founder of www.c-suite-consulting.com, a business and executive advisory firm.
In addition to working in the boutique venture capital, entertainment, banking, manufacturing, financial services, real estate brokerage, retail and wholesale distribution sectors, Ralph has 25+ years of experience developing and working closely with business leaders and entrepreneurs of emerging high tech companies offering game changing technology and/or disruptive software applications and services to customers in the North American and International marketplaces.
Ralph enjoys adventure travel, hiking, staying physically active at the gym and keeping active as loving "parents" to their Standard Schnauzer.
Jeff Ayre, CPA, CGA
Co-Founder
Jeff has over 25 years experience as a proactive finance, accounting and operations professional. He has a proven track record of assessing, organizing and managing a broad range of projects, across multiple industries, situated in various geographic regions and using a combination of his professional skills.
Jeff is a CPA, CGA and, in his professional career, which includes 9 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, he has applied his business knowledge and experience across a broad range of industries, assisting owners, investors and lenders to maximize return on their investment. Jeff has worked with private companies, public companies (including IPO) and Not for Profits organizations, providing services that fit their specific needs.
Beyond his life as a professional service provider, Jeff has also started, operated and sold his own businesses, acting as CEO, CFO and COO. In his combined professional and business experience, he has operated, advised, managed, raised financing for and restructured businesses in: technology, real estate, construction, retail/distribution, financial services (insurance), wholesale, forestry, agriculture, hospitality, communications, automotive retail, cosmetics and beauty aids, communications, banking/lending, healthcare, retail/whole food, shipping and logistics.
Jeff’s broad experience in the analysis of complex business problems and his track record of successfully planning, communicating and implementing the appropriate solution (chosen by management / owners), make him a valuable member to the team and advisor to a variety of business groups, including Boards of Directors.
Jeff is also Director of CEL Services Group Inc., providing professional and private equity services to clients and is a member of the Board and Treasurer of BC Wildlife Federation.
Killian Ruby, CPA, CA
Co-Founder
Killian is a Canadian CPA, CA and an Irish Chartered Accountant. He received his Bachelor of Science (Accounting) from the National University of Ireland, Cork and subsequently a Post-graduate Diploma in Corporate Treasury from Dublin City University. He also completed an Executive Education Program jointly offered by the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Baker Tilly International.
With a passion and interest in business, combined with his breadth and depth of experience in public practice working with both public and private companies, Killian provides CFO and strategic advisory services to a range of public and private companies across a number of industry sectors, helping his clients navigate a constantly changing regulatory and financial reporting environment.
Since August 2018, Killian has been the President & CEO of Malaspina Consultants Inc. As a RAMP preferred service provider, Malaspina is a leading outsourced financial partner for early-stage and high-growth companies, whether public or private. From strategic financial advice to support the growth of your business to providing day to day management of the finance function, Malaspina provides customized, flexible financial adivsory services to a range of public and private companies across a number of industry sectors.
Prior to joining Malaspina, Killian was an audit partner with Wolrige Mahon LLP (now Baker Tilly Canada) and a senior manager with KPMG Canada LLP and KPMG Ireland, gaining in-depth experience across a broad range of industries and working on both private and public companies, with listings on the TSX, TSX-V and SEC registrants.
In his leisure time Killian enjoys cooking, travelling, reading and watching sports.
Gord McMorran, CPA, CA
Co-Founder
Gord is a CPA, CA, bringing over 35 years of experience in business advisory services to the RAMP ECG, having most recently been a partner with Baker Tilly WM LLP for 12 years and, before that, a Vice-President with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for more than 20 years.
Gord has provided operational and financial advisory services to financial institutions (lenders), as well as corporate debtors (owners and management) in a broad cross section of industries including: retail, real estate, automotive, manufacturing, importing/wholesaling/distribution, heavy construction and forestry.
Experience
Gord’s practicable experience includes business advisory services:

Assessing debtor corporations’ financial structure and assisting ownership / management with the development, communication and implementation of strategies designed to restructure the finances;

Assessing debtor corporations’ business operations and management’s administrative capabilities and assisting ownership / management with the development, communication and implementation of strategies designed to reposition business operations;

Assisting financial institutions with the assessment of recoverable value of problem/delinquent loans and, where a workout strategy is put in place, monitoring and reporting upon the debtor corporations’ progress, albeit whether the workout is informal or formal in nature (the Bankruptcy & Insolvency Act or Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act).
Gord is the sole shareholder and director of Spyglass Consulting Group Inc., through which he provides his administrative and advisory services. Within the retail sector, Gord has also been a co-owner of a small retail (boutique) shop in North Vancouver for more than 25 years. The business operations have provided him with a barometer of the retail marketplace (consumer spending) and an opportunity to “practice what he preaches” regarding business finances and management.
Gord enjoys outdoor activities including golfing and hiking along the numerous trails in North Vancouver.
